Boater Safety Act

In January 2025, Massachusetts passed the Hanson-Milone Boater Safety Act, which requires ALL boat and PWC operators to take an approved boating safety course.  More information about the law and where to go for certification can be found here:

Any work being performed within 100-feet of the lake REQUIRES AN INSPECTION BY CHARTLON CONSERVATION COMMISSION PRIOR to work starting.  Please see Conservation Permitting under Lake Information.
